Collection Love | Joy Cioci F/W 2011

JC-CAMELRUFFLES-SHEBREATHES

NEW YORK — Joy Cioci, is no stranger to the fashion industry. She was the Creative Director of Wink, and has worked with Olivier Theyskens and Tom Ford. During New York Fashion Week, she presented her eponymous label at Lincoln Center to an eager to see fashion industry.

The Fall/Winter 2011 collection was all about re-imagined classics that were sexy and tailored. The collection was filled with cable knit sweaters, that could be worn as dresses, black chiffon frocks, and plenty of amazing outwear that came in cashmere, velvet, and leather. Some of the stand-out pieces included a marbled grey leather coat with a shearling collar, a fur collared cashmere camel coat with cascading ruffles on the bottom, a camel coat that was draped over sheer chiffon underpinnings, with the topper being an electric blue dress that could be played up or down. There was plenty to love about this collection, and I didn't see one piece that couldn't be rocked off the runway.
